Cookie Policy
Last Updated: March 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how LYRC LLC ("LYRC", "we", "our", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on www.lyrc.studio.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember things like your login session or preferences.
We also use similar technologies such as localStorage, pixels, and tracking scripts, which are described below.
2. Types of Cookies & Tracking Technologies We Use
2.1 Essential Cookies
These are required for LYRC to work. We use them for:
- Logging into your account
- Keeping you authenticated
- Ensuring secure sessions
- Basic functionality in the editor and dashboard
- Referral tracking (for the affiliate program)
You cannot disable these because they are required for the service to operate.
2.2 Advertising & Marketing Cookies
With your consent, we use third-party advertising pixels to measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns and deliver relevant ads. These include:
- Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram): Used for advertising attribution, retargeting website visitors, and tracking conversions from Meta ad campaigns.
- Reddit Pixel: Used for advertising attribution and tracking conversions from Reddit ad campaigns.
These pixels may place cookies on your device, transmit page-view and conversion events to their respective platforms, and enable those platforms to show you LYRC ads on their networks.
Advertising cookies are blocked by default and only load after you give consent through our cookie banner. You can withdraw consent at any time (see Section 4 below).
We do not sell your personal data to advertisers.
2.3 Analytics & Session Recording
With your consent, we use PostHog for product analytics and session recording to understand how people use LYRC and to improve the product. PostHog:
- Uses cookies and localStorage to persist anonymous user identifiers across sessions
- Tracks page views, feature usage, and in-app events
- Records browsing sessions (with text inputs masked by default) to help us identify usability issues
- Associates analytics events with your account when you are logged in
Analytics cookies require your consent and are not loaded until you opt in via the cookie banner. Session recordings mask sensitive input fields by default.
3. How We Use Tracking Data
We use the data collected through the technologies described above for the following purposes:
- Authentication & security: Essential cookies keep you logged in and protect your account.
- Product improvement: Analytics help us understand which features are used, where users encounter problems, and how to improve the experience.
- Session replay: Recorded sessions let us see how the interface is used so we can fix bugs and improve usability.
- Advertising measurement: Marketing pixels let us measure whether our ad campaigns are effective and reach people who are interested in LYRC.
- Retargeting: If you consent to advertising cookies, ad platforms may show you LYRC ads on their networks based on your visit to our site.
Non-essential tracking (analytics, advertising) only occurs after you provide consent.
4. Managing Your Cookie Preferences
You have control over which non-essential cookies and tracking technologies are active:
- Cookie banner: On your first visit, a consent banner lets you accept or decline analytics and advertising cookies separately.
- Footer link: You can reopen the cookie preferences dialog at any time by clicking "Cookie Preferences" in the site footer.
- Global Privacy Control (GPC): If your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as an opt-out of advertising cookies and will not load marketing pixels.
You can also manage cookies directly through your browser settings:
- Chrome → Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies
- Safari → Preferences → Privacy
- Firefox → Preferences → Privacy & Security
Clearing cookies or revoking consent will not affect data that was already collected while consent was active.
5. Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this policy occasionally. The "Last Updated" date at the top will always reflect the latest version.
