We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how your data is handled.

We do not collect your card number or banking information directly — all payment data is processed securely by our third-party payment provider.

We automatically collect:
- Usage data (pages visited, actions taken)
- Device information (browser, OS, IP address)
- Approximate location (city-level, not precise)
- Performance and error logs
- Analytics data (see Section 6)
This information helps us keep LYRC reliable, secure, and fast.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and operate the LYRC service
- Authenticate your account
- Process payments and manage subscriptions
- Process your content through third-party services to generate AI-powered videos and images
- Improve features, performance, and reliability
- Send important product updates (see Section 5)
- Prevent abuse, fraud, or misuse of the platform

We do not currently sell or rent your personal information to third parties. Advertising pixels described in Section 6 may share data with their respective platforms for attribution and retargeting purposes.

- AI generation service providers (for processing your content to generate videos and images)

These providers receive only the data necessary to perform their services. We select providers that follow industry-standard security practices.
2.2 Third-Party AI Processing
Content you upload or create on LYRC may be processed by third-party AI providers to generate videos, images, transcriptions, and other outputs. You acknowledge that:
- Your content is transmitted to third-party AI services to provide the generation features
- These providers have their own privacy policies and data practices
- Some AI providers may use content to improve their services unless you opt out through their platforms directly
- LYRC cannot fully control how third-party providers handle data once it is transmitted to them
We do not disclose the specific AI providers we use.
3. How We Store and Protect Your Information
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including:
- Encrypted connections (HTTPS)
- Secure password hashing
- Permissions-based access controls
- Isolated infrastructure
- Continuous error and performance monitoring
While no online service is 100% risk-free, we take significant steps to safeguard your information.
4. How Long We Keep Information
We retain:
- Account information as long as your account is active
- Content you upload and generate until you delete it or delete your account
- Analytics and error logs for operational and security purposes (typically 90 days to 2 years depending on the type)
- Billing records as required for tax and legal compliance (typically 7 years)
If you delete your account, we remove your personal information and content except for data required to comply with legal or financial obligations.
Note: Content processed by third-party AI providers may be subject to their own retention policies, which we cannot control.
5. Email Communication Preferences
What You Receive Automatically
When you create an account, you agree to receive:
- Critical system emails (password resets, receipts, service alerts)
- Product updates and announcements
Unsubscribing
You may unsubscribe from marketing and product update emails at any time using the link at the bottom of the email.
You cannot unsubscribe from essential security or transactional emails.
6. Analytics & Tracking
We use several third-party tools to understand how LYRC is used, measure advertising effectiveness, and maintain service reliability. Non-essential tracking technologies are only activated after you provide consent through our cookie consent banner.
6.1 Product Analytics (PostHog)
We use PostHog for product analytics, including:
- Page views, feature usage, and user flows
- Session recording to understand how users interact with the interface (all text inputs are masked to protect sensitive content)
- Data is stored using cookies and localStorage on your device
PostHog analytics require your consent and are loaded only after you accept non-essential cookies via our consent banner.
6.2 Advertising Attribution (Meta Pixel & Reddit Pixel)
We use the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel and Reddit Pixel for:
- Measuring the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns
- Attributing signups and conversions to specific ads
- Creating retargeting audiences to show relevant ads on those platforms
These pixels may transmit data (such as page URLs, device identifiers, and conversion events) to Meta and Reddit. This data is governed by their respective privacy policies. These pixels require your consent and are loaded only after you accept advertising cookies via our consent banner.
6.3 Error Monitoring (Sentry)
We use Sentry for error monitoring and diagnostics. When an error occurs in the application, Sentry collects:
- Error details, stack traces, and browser/device information
- The URL and user action that triggered the error
- Performance metrics to identify slow page loads
Sentry is classified as essential for maintaining service reliability and is active without separate consent.
7. Cookies & Similar Technologies
LYRC uses cookies, localStorage, and similar browser technologies. We categorize these by purpose:
7.1 Essential (Always Active)
These are required for LYRC to function and cannot be disabled:
- Authentication cookies (keeping you logged in)
- Session management
- Referral tracking cookies (for the affiliate program, 30-day expiration)

- Error monitoring (Sentry)
7.2 Analytics (Requires Consent)
Used to understand how visitors use LYRC:

- Our use of advertising pixels (Meta Pixel, Reddit Pixel) may constitute "sharing" or "selling" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under certain state laws

- LYRC respects Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals. If your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information
- You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request its deletion, and not be discriminated against for exercising your rights

9. Referral & Affiliate Data
If you participate in our referral or affiliate program, we collect:
- Referral codes you create or use
- Relationships between referrers and referred users
- IP addresses for fraud prevention purposes
- Conversion and reward data
This data is used to operate the affiliate program, prevent abuse, and calculate rewards.
10. International Users & Data Transfers
LYRC is operated from the United States. If you access the service from outside the U.S., including from the European Union or United Kingdom:
- Your data will be processed and stored in the United States
- Data transfers from the EU/UK to the U.S. are conducted in accordance with applicable data transfer mechanisms, including the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework where applicable
- By using LYRC, you consent to the transfer of your data to the United States
- We do not guarantee speed or accessibility outside the U.S.
Legal Basis for Processing (EU/UK Users)
For users in the European Union or United Kingdom, we process your data based on:
- Contract performance: Processing necessary to provide the LYRC service you signed up for
- Legitimate interests: Processing for security, fraud prevention, and error monitoring
- Consent: Analytics, advertising pixels, and session recording are only activated after you provide consent

11. Your Rights
You have the right to:

Account Deletion
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Profile. The delete option is located at the bottom of the profile page.
Once confirmed, your account and personal data will be permanently removed except for information required by law (e.g., billing records). If you have an active subscription, it will be cancelled automatically.
Right to Delete
You may request deletion of your personal data at any time. To submit a deletion request, visit /privacy-request or email support@lyrc.studio. We will verify your identity and process your request within the timeframe required by applicable law.
EU/UK Users - Additional Rights
If you are located in the European Union or United Kingdom, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority if you believe your rights have been violated.

12. Children's Privacy
LYRC is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your country to use online services). We do not knowingly collect information from children. If we learn that we have collected data from a child, we will delete it promptly.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of the page. For significant changes, we may provide additional notice via email or within the app.
